We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data.The SCA Revision Helper extension is designed to operate entirely locally on your device. It does not communicate with any external servers, APIs, or databases.

What We Store Locally

To provide the extension’s functionality, we store the following data locally on your browser using the Chrome Storage API (chrome.storage.local):

  • Preferences: Your timer duration settings, phase durations, and prompt configurations.
  • Widget State: The last position of the widget on your screen and whether it is collapsed or visible.
  • User Notes: Text notes you type into the widget are saved and keyed to the specific website hostname where they were created. This allows your notes to reappear when you revisit that specific site.

This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us or any third parties.

2. Permissions

We request the minimum permissions necessary for the extension to function:

  • Storage: Required to save your settings and notes locally on your device.
  • ActiveTab: Required to allow you to toggle the widget on/off on the current page.
  • Scripting: Used as a fallback to ensure the widget loads correctly on all pages.
  • Host Permissions (<all_urls>): Required to inject the floating widget interface onto the websites you use for revision (such as FourteenFish, Arora, or other revision platforms). We do not read or modify the content of these websites; we only display our overlay on top of them.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics) or tracking scripts in this extension.

4. Data Security

Because your data is stored locally on your device, its security relies on your browser and operating system. If you uninstall the extension, all locally stored data associated with it (including your notes and settings) will be deleted by the browser.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the extension’s update notes or options page.
